In this workshop you will be guided in the process of making beautiful botanical art prints which capture the fine details of the plant specimens you've chosen.

In the morning we will talk through the creative process, looking at some example pieces and discussing how we create balanced compositions and capture detail.  Where location allows we will head out for a local walk to collect some foliage and other items such as feathers etc which we will use in our work. Please feel free to also bring any of your own plants from your garden, or other items you wish to use.

Once we return from our walk we will work alongside each other to explore different relief printing techniques including simple manual methods and easily accessible equipment such as small craft presses. After lunch we will continue printing, exploring and stretching our new skills.

You will leave the workshop with a small selection of nature relief prints which would make lovely framed prints, cards, bookmarks or gift tags. You will also take away the knowledge and confidence required to continue exploring the process at home.

My aim is to make the day relaxed, fun and informal. The workshop would suit an individual looking to learn something new, a group of friends looking to share some quality relaxing time together or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion such as a hen do or birthday.

This workshop is open to adults (16+) and can be held at the Tilly and Roo Studio in Foyers or at an alternative venue such as your own home.

Accessibility information

Due to the constraints of the studio layout and the original stable flooring the workshop space may present challenges for mobilising in a wheelchair. Please contact me to discuss workshop accessibility so that I can provide more detailed information or explore alternative venues.
